Sock architecture cover 120140922 18545 ptfmym
On October 18th at 2pm Lara Neel author of the book Sock Architecture will be at Ewe Knit It for a book signing. She will have copies of her book with her for purchase.
Here is a little about the book and Lara:

Sock Architecture is about taking control of your sock knitting experience and tailoring your socks to get exactly what you want. There are many toes and heels, all explained so that you can plug in your own numbers, and most of them can be made either toe up or top down. To round the book out, there are 17 patterns, most of which can also be made at any size, but that also have generously-sized stitch-by-stitch instructions so that you don't have to start from scratch, if you don't want to. There's also a little history of socks, knitting, fashion, and some speculations on Lara's part. It is available at and on Amazon.

Lara Neel published over 150 free patterns in three years for the Math4Knitters, Crafty Living blog and podcast. Now, when she’s not dreaming of more books, she’s offering select, test-knit (and/or tech-edited) patterns for sale. Her work has also appeared in Knit Edge, Petite Purls, The Ennea Collective, and Knitty. The easiest way to reach her is on Ravelry or her blog, She is Math4Knitters. She would love to hear from you.

South Dakotans may remember her from her work as a photojournalist with the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls.
